Mala Village is my urgent response to an unraveling world and rising antisemitism.
The breaking we see around us began within us. Even as we stand strong against evil, we must look inward to ask how we got here.
Torah, law, and learning are only vehicles. Without a conscious soul in the driver’s seat, they cannot carry us where we need to go.
Much of Jewish life has surrendered to a disenchanted world. We have knowledge without power, ritual without holiness, tradition without transcendence.
A faint echo of God still speaks through generations past.
But when we fail to hear the call anew, we fail to earn a better world.
